Hua-Jun Wu

Hua-Jun finished his undergraduate studies in biology at Beijing Normal University in 2005. He received his PhD degree in bioinformatics from the institute of Genetics and Developmental Biology, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2012, where his research focused on investigating regulatory pathways of non-coding RNAs in response to abiotic stresses in plants. Meanwhile, he also researched on the similarity and difference between mouse ES and iPS cells. During his PhD study with Dr. Xiu-Jie Wang in IGDB, he gained experience with large-scale genomic data analysis and comparative genomics. At DFCI, Hua-Jun is interested in studying genetic and epigenetic alterations responsible for tumorigenesis and cancer evolution in human cancers.
