Kamrine obtained her BS with a major in Mathematics and minors in Spanish and Biochemistry from the University of Arizona. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Biostatistics from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Her previous research involved the analysis of biological regulatory networks of different breast cancer molecular subtypes with Dr. John Quackenbush at DFCI. She has also worked with Dr. Guo-Cheng Yuan in constructing an extensive database of annotated chromatin states specific to cell type using diHMM, a hierarchical hidden Markov model authored by Dr. Yuan, and imputed data from the Epigenome Roadmap Consortium Project. Kamrine’s current research interests are modeling cancer evolution and drug-resistance.
