Michael Nicholson

Postdoctoral Fellow
Department of Biostatistics and Computational Biology, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute

Michael's undergraduate studies were in mathematics at the University of Edinburgh. Continuing in Edinburgh, he then went on to obtain a PhD in physics under the supervision of Tibor Antal. Michael's thesis concerned theoretical models for the size distribution of metastases, and the emergence of a particular cell type in growing cellular populations. Michael's research interests are in the development and analysis of stochastic models to describe cancer progression, and statistical inference under those models.
