Shayna received her B.S. in Mathematics of Computation from UCLA in 2015. In 2016 she joined the Department of Biostatistics at Harvard University as a PhD student. Her previous research includes developing computational methods to understand the effects of genetic variation on alternative splicing with Dr. Yi Xing in the UCLA Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics Department. Shayna is interested in using mathematical and statistical models to study treatment response dynamics and identify optimal dosing strategies.
