Thomas Madsen

Tom is broadly interested in developing statistical and mathematical models that shed light on cancer initiation and progression. In 2019, he completed his PhD at Harvard University under the supervision of Professor Franziska Michor and Professor Lorenzo Trippa. His recent work applies Bayesian nonparametric models to single-cell mass cytometry data to quantify phenotypic heterogeneity. He is also passionate about statistics education, having served as a teaching assistant and instructor for a number of biostatistics courses at the Harvard School of Public Health and Harvard Medical School.
