Daniel Temko

Scientist
Department of Data Science, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute

Danny studied mathematics and philosophy at Balliol College, Oxford. He completed his PhD on the causation and timing of mutations during cancer evolution at University College London, under the guidance of Prof. Trevor Graham, Prof. Ian Tomlinson and Prof. Simone Severini. Danny’s work involved applications of mathematical modeling techniques to DNA mutation data to assess the links between individual mutation-causing processes and putative disease-causing mutations. At DFCI, Danny is interested in using mathematical modeling to better understand cancer causation and the forces governing tumor progression.
