Yaoxuan Ju
Graduate Student
Department of Data Science, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute
Yaoxuan Ju received her Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Mathematics from the University of Manchester in the UK. She is now pursuing her Master’s degree in Computational Biology and Quantitative Genetics at Harvard University. Her research interests focus on integrating machine learning and explainable AI with healthcare to enhance medical decision-making transparency and achieve personalized cancer therapies through human-AI collaboration. During her undergraduate studies, she developed a multimodal human-robot interaction framework under Prof. Angelo Cangelosi, improving trust between humans and AI systems. At the Chinese Academy of Sciences, she leveraged deep learning to repurpose the anticancer drug Pentostatin, accelerating drug development. She currently focuses on developing dynamic cell models across timelines by integrating virtual cell simulations at DFCI.
