April Zhi Zhou received her PhD in Engineering Sciences and Applied Mathematics from Northwestern University (Advisors: Prof. Michael Miksis and Prof. Petia Vlahovska). She enjoys building mathematical models of physical/biological systems and has worked on topics ranging from microfluidic systems of solid-stabilized emulsions to pattern formations in chemical and ecological systems.
