Christopher Graser

Postdoctoral Fellow
Department of Data Science, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute

Chris studied Economics with a focus on Game Theory at the Ludwig-Maximilians Universität and at the Tinbergen Institute. He received his PhD from the University of Amsterdam, working on mathematical models for the evolution of prosociality, under the supervision of Prof. van Veelen. At DFCI, Chris is interested in mathematically modeling the evolutionary dynamics of cancer. His work focuses on mapping out the dynamics of how cancer cells accumulate adaptations, and of how persistence and resistance to various treatments evolve in heterogeneous tumors. The aim of these investigations is to develop models that can be used to find optimal (personalized) therapy schedules, and to monitor and predict tumor evolution under therapy.
