Yiyang Zhang

Yiyang is a Master’s student in the Computational Biology and Quantitative Genetics program at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. He earned Bachelor’s degrees in Chemical Biology, Molecular and Cell Biology, and Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley in 2024. During his undergraduate studies, he worked as a research assistant at the University of California, San Francisco with an interest in machine learning applications in Alzheimer’s Disease and gene perturbation prediction. At DFCI, Yiyang is focusing on understanding the interaction among cells and the prediction of cancer or patient state based on genetic and epigenetic information.
